Open AIR: Wild Impressions: Nature Gelli Monotypes Open Studio with Candace Garlock

Visitors are invited to join resident artist Candace Nicol Garlock in an intimate printmaking session, where they can watch her build rich layers of color and texture on a gelli plate before pulling a nature-inspired monotype print. Guided step-by-step through rolling ink, adding stencils and textures, and making that first exciting “pull,” each guest then creates a one-of-a-kind gelli monotype of their own to take home as a tangible reminder of their studio experience with the artist.
This Open Studio setting allows for interested participants to arrive anytime between 10 and 2. Plan on allowing 45 minutes to make your print or longer if you are with a group. All are welcome.
