Practical Permaculture: Grow Your Own Food Intensive

Jun 2 - Jun 4

For those who want to grow more food, this weekend workshop will cover cold climate design strategies for gardeners, homesteaders, and those who are interested in learning more about permaculture design. Instructors Kareen Erbe from Broken Ground, Linda Welsh and Christopher Borton from Sage Mountain Center, and Tom Elpel from Green University will bring a vast amount of knowledge and experience to the weekend intensive. Their combined expertise will make for a comprehensive introduction to permaculture concepts, cold climate gardening, botany, rainwater harvesting, creating food forests, soil-building, and alternative energy. The weekend includes class sessions, tours, and a design practicum to give participants all of the tools they need to grow more of their own food, and design properties that capture water, improve soil, and produce healthy organic food.
