Reception and Workshop: Josh DeWeese, "The Shape Inside"

A free, catered public reception for artist Josh DeWeese will be held at the Northcutt Steele Gallery on Thursdsay, Nov. 21 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. A conversation with the artist begins at 5:30 p.m. His work is on display through Dec. 12 in “The Shape Inside.”
The Northcutt Steele Gallery is located on the 1st floor of the Liberal Arts Building on the campus of MSU Billings.
On Friday, Nov. 22, DeWeese will offer a workshop in the Art Annex Ceramics Studio on MSUB campus from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
During this workshop, DeWeese will present techniques for throwing and constructing a variety of forms, including platters and lidded jars. Material choices and firing techniques will be discussed, as well as a broad range of ideas about historical and contemporary ceramics.
