Star Party with Steve Hobe

Montana State Parks and Carter County Museum are teaming together for this Star Party” at Medicine Rocks State Park. This program will be presented by Steve Hobe, Adler Planetarium facilitator. The night will be full of activities and opportunities for participants to observe and learn about the stars, the moon, and the planets.
The evening’s offerings include:
Making Craters! at 9 p.m.: Explore how meteorites affect Earth and have shaped lunar geology.
Scopes and Skies: Look through telescopes to explore the Moon, planets and beyond
Sky Watch Live! at 10 p.m.: An hour-long interactive presentation of the night sky. Topics include constellation orientation and stories, planets and the zodiac, and the moon’s affect on Earth.
UV Experiments at 11:30 p.m.: Explore how ultraviolet light can change the way human’s perceive our surroundings, including fossils.
