Inspired by the themes of landscape and place, as well as exhibitions on display, campers ages 8-12 will learn about traditional and contemporary Salish artforms by creating miniatures. These miniatures include shields, games, and other important cultural forms.
These objects are made from the land and campers will learn about Indigenous perspectives about place and landscape. Students will get a chance to develop their own images of identity and personal cultural expression.
