Workshop: Value-Added Product Sales Under the Local Food Choice Act

Aug 19

Free

New Montana law creates new opportunities for producers to offer previously disallowed items for direct-to-consumer sales without licensing. These new items include raw milk and poultry, and other processed and value-added food items such as catered meals, pickled and canned foods, and perishable baked goods. The law presents new opportunities, and specific limitations and risks.
Kalispell-area farmers, value-added producers, and farmers market managers can learn more about the changes under the new law and how best to address legal liability risk management practices for long-term success.
