Writers' Room: Anne Carson (& the Greeks) Inspire Poetry with Anna Zumbahlen

Oct 15 - Nov 5

In this online hybrid poetics class, the group will read selections from Anne Carson’s mythology-inspired prose poems and translations of Greek tragedies, and write their own work out of what she calls the “spilling power” of the classics. “In the effort to find one’s way among the contest of memory (Aristotle emphasizes) a principle of association is helpful” —The Beauty of the Husband
Anna Zumbahlen holds a PhD from the University of Denver and an MFA from the University of Montana. Her first book, Surety, won the Hillary Gravendyk Prize.
